Space Brothers Among Us: The Channeled Films of Unarius
Featuring a rare pristine digital transfer screening of the Unarius 16mm outsider masterpiece THE ARRIVAL!
Tonight in conversation, the Unariuns will reveal their creative process of working with invisible guides aka The Space Brothers, a channeling process potentially as old as humankind itself, to create their films. The evening culminates with a screening of the Unarius’ greatest filmic achievement, a pristine 16mm print transfer of the outsider interstellar fantasia THE ARRIVAL (1980). This first-of-its-kind film was made by Unarius in the late 1970s, with a very low budget but achieving astonishing special effects involving the cosmos, spaceships, and interplanetary beings—long before CGI.
THE ARRIVAL
(1980, Dir. The Unariun Brotherhood and Prince Uriel, new digital transfer from 16mm!!)
From The Unarius Academy of Science: The Arrival is a true story of reincarnation and the first contact with another world 162,000 years ago. Without using a script or acting in the traditional way, a Unariun student reenacts his past life as a tribal leader’s son, Zan, who encounters an immense spaceship with advanced, benevolent beings. In telepathic conversations with the Space Brothers, he is awakened from his psychic amnesia as he relives a lifetime over 200,000 years ago when he was a spaceship commander of an Orion battle cruiser.
